Low-profile, sleek wraparound sunglasses, which hug the face and offer close protection from bright sunshine or harsh indoor lighting. Now there’s no need for squinting, or having your eyes water because they are so sensitive to the ambient light. These wraparounds also feature extendable curved temples and have a soft, non-slip texture that makes them comfortable to wear. Cannot be worn over normal glasses. Filters for 28% light transmission

The grey lenses allow just 28% Visible Light Transmission (VLT). This is the percentage of the visible spectrum (380 to 720nm) that transits through the lens, balanced with the sensitivity of the human eye. In broad terms a VLT of 65% down to 35% is normally high enough to be useful in most environments. Lenses with a VLT in the 20s or below allow much less light to get through the lens. They can be helpful for people with certain eye conditions. For general safety please note that they should be only be used in areas where working light is very bright or well-illuminated.

All NoIR filters absorb UV radiation to 400nm. Many lenses also block blue light, thereby help guarding the retina from high-energy wavelengths that may contribute to the degenerative process culminating in macular degeneration. NoIR filters prevent 99% of all glare-causing high-energy short wavelengths from reaching the eye. By absorbing the energy from the sun’s heat, they help cut infrared wavelengths and effectively ‘cool’ the light intensity so that wearers enjoy a more comfortable and soothing viewing experience.
