Free standing magnifying glass with adjustable lens for hands-free tasks
This flexible hands-free, stand magnifier makes it easy to tilt, twist and position a magnifying lens over table-top hobbies and projects. With plenty of space to move the hands, it's especially popular for craft and repair work, and as a model makers magnifying glass. The lens itself measures 4 inches/100mm in diameter, and is made from glass for high optical clarity. It will magnify any subject around two times (2x). The edge of the lens is protected by a lightweight plastic surround, attached to a flexible gooseneck arm, enabling the lens to be easily re-positioned at virtually any angle.
A sturdy desktop magnifier
A weighted, oval-shaped base keeps the magnifier in one place on the work surface, and there's even an integral plastic tray so you won't lose components and small stationery items. The base footprint is only 250 x 110mm (10 x 4" approx.), taking up minimal space on an office desk or home table top.
This magnifier is ideal for when you need to concentrate on hands free, table-top tasks like model-making, fly tying, jigsaws, soldering, repair work and jewellery. And if you don't want to bring the lens over the subject, you can always move yourself into position instead. We've heard of this stand magnifier also being used to trim nails, to inspect cuts and to remove splinters.
