Tough injection-moulded sheet magnifier with a shatter-resistant 2mm thick optical quality fresnel lens. Larger surface area maximises light transmission, enabling a broader view of text, pictures, maps and graphs. Rigid surface allows for the lens to be held and positioned one-handed above printed matter without ‘flexing’. As this magnifier is made from a strong, single sheet of thick plastic, it is robust enough to withstand cleaning in offices and hospitals where it is sometimes used to read patient charts and notes. What is a fresnel lens magnifier?

Fresnel lenses comprise of minuscule concentric lines on a flat surface, angled to gather and direct ambient light towards the centre. Their great advantage is that they make possible large, flat magnifying lenses, ideal for reading more of a page or paragraph in a newspaper or book.

Please note that when we describe this magnifying sheet as ‘extra strong’, we are referring to the thickness of the lens rather than the magnification strength.
