Round aspheric lens – twelve and a half times magnification

This 12.5x magnifier is the most powerful in the Mobilux LED range. As such it is used widely for professional applications as well as for low vision needs. It has many helpful features to enable accurate magnification tasks. Hold the 1¼”/35mm round aspheric lens close to the eye to bring hard-to-see text and images to life. Tiny details, small print, and other minutiae become sharper and easier to see. The lens itself is made from lightweight PXM plastic, and coated on both sides to protect it from scratches. Even the body itself has been designed to help the eye focus on the subject. Its two-tone finish includes an off-white rim section, blending with any background so your magnifying experience is not impeded in any way by peripheral distractions.

White energy-efficient LED plus yellow and orange colour filters

The low-energy SMD LED has an estimated life of 50,000 hours, and also helps prolong the lifespan of the two AA batteries, which are included. The LED shines white light onto your subject, enhancing contrast between text and background. This has the effect of making letters or words stand out more so they become easier to read. Brightness consistency is aided by Eschenbach’s integrated ‘step-up’ light technology. This keeps illumination at a constant level so your subject is always comfortably lit. If you find the white light too intense, then you can tone it down with either of two additional orange and yellow filters supplied. Simply snap the filter over the white LED and change the colour temperature to suit your task.

Comfortable, carefully-designed handle

In the hand, the Mobilux LED feels solid yet comfortable. Its slim profile features soft radiused edges that are pleasant and smooth in the hand. A sliding switch sits just right under the fingers and glides up or down to activate the light. Additional information on the handle displays the magnification strength, and recommended working distance, in millimetres, for optimum text or image quality.

Includes batteries, case and instructions

Protect the lens of your Mobilux LED magnifier by covering it with the soft black case supplied. Use it to resist accumulation of dirt or other substances, as well as keeping it secure against accidental knocks or liquid spillages. The Mobilux takes two AA batteries, which are also included, along with instructions and cleaning guide. The battery compartment is located on the underside of the handle. An easy open-closure clip ensures batteries stay in place, but allows anyone with poor hand articulation to gain access. Inside the battery compartment an embossed diagram shows which way to insert the batteries. At the base of the handle there are two hollowed eyelets for a lanyard (not supplied) to be threaded through if required.
